Victoria Sapa Hotel, the only luxury hotel in the area, opened in March 1998. Built as a traditional mountain chalet with an accented wooden decor and a welcoming stone hearth fireplace, Victoria Sapa Hotel overhangs the village, blending perfectly with the natural surroundings. The hotel has 77 cosy rooms each combining the elegance of traditional handicraft and the comfort of an international hotel. Superior rooms are all at ground floor and feature a terrace with sofa. Deluxe rooms are of the same size and facilities but have a balcony with a sofa overlooking Mount Fansipan. The hotel has an indoor-outdoor heated swimming pool overlooking Sapa, a restaurant centred round a fireplace, serving nourishing European and Vietnamese cuisine.
