Built in 1918, the Galaxy Hotel offers French architecture without the expensive price tag. Each of the 60 guest rooms have recently been renovated and are now modern and classy. The Road Side Café looks more like an American Steak Bar but offers a quiet relief to the bustle of Hanoi. A Chinese restaurant is also available for lunch and dinner. About a 15 minute walk to the centre of the old quarter.

This was the 1st stop in Vietnam. Rooms were quite small but v clean. We had trouble with aircon the 1st night, spoke to staff next morning and we were shifted to a new room were aircon worked perfect. Would stay here again
