The famous Hotel Continental, located a few steps away from the Opera House is a long standing landmark of Indochina heritage. Built back in the 1880’s this hotel has seen a colourful and rich history. This was the hotel used by reporters who covered the Vietnam War and was also home to Graham Greene wrote The Quiet American while staying in Room 214. The hotel is a little worn out and I’d only recommend it for nostalgic purposes. Rooms do need an upgrade as does the rest of the hotel.
